In pre-production: S3D Video

I am currently in pre-production  on a
3D multi-cam shoot for a telecommunications
company. We plan to use a variety of cameras including
the Go-Pro, Red, and 3DA1. We are planning
a test shoot next week with a shoot date the following
week.

In pre-production: S3D Ghost story

I am currently in pre-production on a 3D short film by
Ryan B. Adams, Valley of the Kings productions. We
should be going into production sometime in August.

Michigan Talent Spotlight – Jenny Januszewski, Director of “The Shadower”

I just started  3D Post on this project. The Director like me grew up in Michigan. Here's a link to the article. It should be the first one at the top. If not, look for the July 7 entry.

A Little Bit of New News

I've been very busy with going to a lot of 3D events and seminars
and shooting lots of 3D. In addition to shooting with my new
Fujifilm W3, I've had an opportunity to shoot with the Go-pro
Hero 3D and the Sony TD10 cameras. And regard to shooting
with the Go-pro I found the image quality to be good. However,
the lack of a viewfinder makes it a little hard for framing and I
found I need to hold the camera a little lower than I would
normally hold it. In regard to the Sony TD10, the image quality is
very good and I was very impressed with shooting in low light.
The editing however, is a little bit complicated because you need
to use Sony Vegas Pro for the PC. Myself as well as another
group of people are exploring workaround for Final Cut Pro and
Premiere. I am currently running MAC OS with Bootcamp, which
allows me to run Windows 7. Finally, on the job front, I have a
couple of projects in 3D that I am in pre-production on and will be
starting post in mid-July on one and first of August.

GoPro-Great Tech Support in 3-D (it was like they were in my studio with me !)

As you may or may not know GoPro acquired the company Cineform. They have a lower  price point as well as new updates to the Neo product line.  I sent a e-mail to tech support and was very pleasantly surprised to got a e-mail response back quickly. I explained the technical issue I was having soon after trying to work me through it they offered to do a remote diagnostic of my problem. I was up a running in no time!
Thanks to Laura and the Great Team at GoPro!

Well I was hired to do the compositing on the 3D music video "Nothing Personal". When I started I was doing the green screen exaction and tracker removal. The project was mostly shot on green screen with 2 RED camera on a beam splitter rig. The CG backgrounds were made in 3dsmax. Compositing tools include AECS4 & Mocha AE.
